Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Class 10th or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Driving Licence Requirements
Applicants must possess a valid driving license for the following:
- Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) or Transport Vehicle
- Light Motor Vehicle (LMV)
- Motorcycle with gear
Experience
Candidates must have at least 3 years of driving experience for heavy or light motor vehicles and motorcycles.
Age Limit (as of 4 March 2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years
Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years
- Special categories like victims of riots: Up to 10 years based on category
Selection Process
The selection process includes multiple stages to ensure only the most eligible candidates are chosen. The stages are:
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Document Verification
- Skill Test (driving-related tasks)
- Written Exam (CBT)
- Medical Examination
Physical Standards
Height:
- General/SC/OBC/EWS: 167 cm
- ST: 160 cm
- Hill Areas/North-East Candidates: 165 cm
Chest Measurement:
- General/SC/OBC/EWS: 80 cm (unexpanded), 85 cm (expanded)
- ST: 76 cm (unexpanded), 81 cm (expanded)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates qualifying for PST will undergo PET, which includes:
- Running: 800 meters in 3 minutes 15 seconds
- High Jump: 3 feet 6 inches (maximum 3 attempts)
- Long Jump: 11 feet (maximum 3 attempts)
Salary Details
The selected candidates for the post of Constable Driver will receive a Pay Level-3 salary, ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per month, along with additional allowances as per government norms.
Application Fee
An application fee of ₹100/- (Rupees one hundred only) is applicable for candidates from the UR, EWS, and OBC categories. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, and ESM categories eligible for reservation are exempt from paying the fee.
The fee can be paid online via Net Banking, Credit/Debit/Rupay cards, or UPI. Alternatively, candidates can make a cash payment at any SBI branch by generating an SBI Challan.
