General Requirements
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
- Age Limit: Between 18 and 40 years as of 1st January 2025. Relaxations available for specific categories:
- Ex-Servicemen: +2 years
- OBC/MOBC: +3 years
- SC/ST (P)/ST (H): +5 years
- Persons with Disability (PwD): +10 years
- Small Family Norms: Applicants should not have more than two living children as per government policy.
Specific Requirements by Post
Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary)
- Education: Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks.
- Diploma: 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or equivalent.
- TET Qualification: Assam TET (ATET) or Central TET (CTET).
Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary)
- Education: Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary and a Graduate degree from a UGC-recognized university.
- Diploma: 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, B.Ed., or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- TET Qualification: ATET or CTET.
Science Teacher (Upper Primary)
- Education: Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary and a B.Sc. degree from a UGC-recognized university.
- Diploma: 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, B.Ed., or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- TET Qualification: ATET or CTET.
Hindi Teacher (Upper Primary)
- Education: Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary and a Graduate degree with Hindi as one of the subjects from a UGC-recognized university.
- Diploma: 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, B.Ed., or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- TET Qualification: ATET or CTET.
